Logistics Manager

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated individual to take on the role of Logistics Manager. As the chosen candidate, you will be entrusted with overseeing a spectrum of vital logistics functions, from weekly load planning and delivery coordination to material procurement, quality control, and strategic decision-making in transportation. These will be your main tasks and responsibilities:

• Schedule weekly loads and coordinate deliveries 
• Receive and inspect goods
• Manage packing priorities based on shipping limits
• Manage and purchase packaging materials
• Quality control of materials 
• Preparation of documentation underlying the internal and external (export) transportation process
• Container management at customs
• Preparation of waybills, packing lists, requests for invoices for outgoing international work (...)
• Defining the most suitable mode of transport for the cargo, managing the reservation of transport space and organizing the space for the cargo. 
• Contacting site managers to determine material transportation needs
• Transportation planning
• Manage and schedule transportation routes 
• Driver management and scheduling
• Renting equipment and obtaining site permits
• Invoicing for services rendered
• Preparation of daily transportation logs 
• Generating reports and dashboards on activities

Profile of the ideal candidate:

• Work experience in a similar role (logistics, transportation)
• Education in logistics, transportation, planning or similar.
• Experience in an industrial environment, in an export context
• Proficiency in Excel (intermediate)
• English language skills (intermediate)
• Solid knowledge of export Incoterms
• Knowledge of documentation required for export from EU and non-EU countries
• Knowledge of means of transport: land and sea 
• Analytical and detail oriented profile
• Organizational and planning skills 
• Deadline orientation
• Problem solving and decision making skills 
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to handle stress and work under pressure
• Ability to work in a team and in highly dynamic environments
