World of Wine (WOW) is a cultural and gastronomic complex in Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal, housed within the restored Port wine cellars. This project integrates heritage with contemporary architectural design, combining traditional stone structures and modern glass and steel elements. The layout adheres to the site’s natural topography, featuring terraced spaces that optimize views of the Douro River and the skyline of Porto. The architecture emphasizes clean lines, open spaces, and abundant natural light.
Implementing this project’s OTIIMA Plus and Pivot systems ensures precision, functionality, and aesthetic refinement. The Plus system incorporates large-scale, minimal-frame openings that enhance panoramic views, while the Pivot system enables dynamic movement that maximizes spatial flexibility. These solutions are in harmony with WOW’s architectural vision, which merges technical innovation with a profound respect for historical context.
