About the project

The IS House is an example of architecture that responds to its environmental context. Situated on a trapezoidal plot that offers picturesque views of the southeastern green space, the design extends along a central axis from east to west, optimizing the site’s natural topography. A central feature of the residence is a 30-meter pool that meanders through the garden and terminates in a serene basin. The water cascades over meticulously arranged stones, creating a sensory experience that fosters a deeper connection to the surrounding environment.

Integrating OTIIMA’s advanced window systems is instrumental in this architectural harmony. They allow an influx of natural light while framing the garden’s inherent beauty. The glass-enclosed lower level transitions effortlessly into the landscape, blurring the boundaries between interior and exterior spaces. Through expansive openings and a folded roof structure, the IS House successfully establishes a harmonious dialogue between architecture and nature, characterized by lightness, tranquility, and unimpeded environmental integration.
