In Casa Galdós, the Estudio Vila 13 adeptly integrates the modern characteristics of concrete with the enduring nature of Ibizan stone, resulting in a retreat where contemporary architecture is in harmony with the rural landscape. This project highlights the contrast between geometric precision and the inherent beauty of natural materials, employing varied textures and forms to enhance the site’s essence.
Expansive openings created through the OTIIMA system allow indoor and outdoor spaces to integrate seamlessly. Large glass surfaces effectively dissolve the boundaries between living areas and the surrounding environment, allowing for an uninterrupted flow of light and landscape. Consequently, the residence exemplifies the Mediterranean spirit—minimalist design, rich in materiality, and deeply connected to its contextual surroundings.
