Bow: Curved Views and Quiet Luxury Over Lisbon
In the heart of Lisbon, where the city begins to rise and the river still whispers in the distance, a new residential building stands with confidence. Bow, designed by Ana Costa Arquitetura and developed by Prime Portugal, redefines what it means to live above the Marquês de Pombal.
Bow opens to Lisbon’s shifting light and long horizons from the upper levels. Its form embraces the curvature of the landscape, while its architecture speaks in soft, decisive lines. Within those lines, OTIIMA plays a leading role.

A quiet curve over the city: The architecture of Bow
The architecture of Bow is defined by rhythm, curvature, and transparency, an elegant counterpoint to the urban grid surrounding it. Designed by Ana Costa Arquitetura, the building reinterprets the modernist language of Lisbon with a soft, sculptural sensibility.
The façade stands out from the street through its vertical rigor and gentle convexity. The corners are rounded, almost as if carved by the wind, creating a subtle movement that breaks the rigidity of the orthogonal context. This curved geometry gives Bow its name and its identity. It’s a building that bows outward in gesture, opening toward the city, inviting light, air, and views in.
At each level, deep window bays framed by slim profiles give depth to the elevation. These bays are filled with OTIIMA’s minimal systems, including curved glass panes that follow the building’s organic lines and dissolve the boundary between architecture and atmosphere.
The material palette is discreet and timeless. A soft-toned structure that blends naturally with Lisbon’s light, while the shadows of the trees play across its surface like a slow-moving film.
Inside, the architectural language continues. Spaces are open yet private, light-filled yet intimate. It’s architecture for living, not just in comfort, but in harmony with the environment.

Minimal frames, maximum expression
Bow features the OTIIMA Plus system, selected for its ability to disappear visually and conceptually, letting the architecture breathe and the light take center stage. This project pushes the system’s versatility further: custom curved glass panes create a continuous flow along the façade, softening the boundaries between inside and out, and offering uninterrupted panoramic views over Lisbon.
It’s more than a design feature. It’s a gesture. One that invites the city in, in all its movement and stillness.
Two signature handles complete the experience:
— the
Invisible Lock, integrated and seamless, almost imperceptible to the eye;
— and the
Horizontal Meyer Lock, whose elegant, tactile design offers a horizontal rhythm to the opening gesture.
Together, they reinforce OTIIMA’s design philosophy: that performance should never compromise beauty and that engineering can be poetic.

With Bow, Ana Costa doesn’t impose. She sculpts. She listens to the site and responds with clarity and grace. And OTIIMA, through innovation and invisibility, helps carry that vision to every frame.
