On October 29, the Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology (MAAT) in Lisbon will host the world premiere of “SIZA”, a documentary produced by the Gallery Institute and directed by Augusto Custodio.
Dedicated to Álvaro Siza Vieira, winner of the Pritzker Prize and one of the most influential architects of our time, the film provides an in-depth look at his life, work, and global impact.
An intimate look at Álvaro Siza Vieira
The documentary “SIZA” goes beyond architectural achievements, offering a personal perspective on the architect’s creative process. It demonstrates how Siza’s discipline and dedication have forged a lifetime of commitment to architecture.
Director Augusto Custodio describes the work as revealing “a man of uncommon strength, shaped by life to devote himself entirely to architecture. Mind, body, and soul merge with his craft, becoming inseparable.”
