COL Geneva Project by Emixi Architects: A Symphony of Architectural Innovation

At the heart of Geneva, Emixi Architects’ COL project showcases a perfect blend of meticulous design, precision engineering, and the seamless integration of OTIIMA systems. This architectural masterpiece unfolds like a captivating story, where every millimeter is a thoughtful brushstroke on the canvas of modern architecture.

Among the architectural elements that grace the COL project are the OTIIMA guillotine motorized windows, offering a unique blend of functionality and personalized aesthetics. These windows seamlessly complement modern architectural styles, providing architects with a canvas to tailor designs to their project’s requirements. The guillotine windows are available in various sizes, shapes, and configurations, allowing architects to craft a distinctive and personalized look for their projects.

The flexibility of the OTIIMA guillotine is apparent in its ability to be custom-made to fit architectural designs seamlessly. Architects can create ascending or descending configurations with fixed or vertical pocketing conditions, whether a single panel or multiple panels on tracks. This level of customization empowers architects to achieve design excellence while maintaining optimal functionality.

The COL Geneva Project explores architectural paradoxes, where the simplicity of design meets the complexity of implementation. This project unfolds like a Mobius ribbon, a loop of infinite possibilities that challenges the norm and redefines architectural boundaries.

In pursuing a sober visual architecture based on a simple idea, every detail in the COL Project has been meticulously considered and designed. The project epitomizes a paradox of the sublime – uncluttered lines coexisting with intricate complexities in execution.

A project of details, development, study, and analysis, where each element is known inside out to bring forth a robust architectural gesture.

The interior spaces of the COL Project echo the surrounding territory, with pebble-like volumes connected by transparent glass panes. Programmatic volumes like offices, shower rooms, and bedrooms seamlessly integrate with sliding glass elements, creating a harmonious interplay between built and natural environments.

The OTIIMA PLUS system, yet another system inserted in this project, redefines minimal frame systems with sophistication and performance. Honoured with design awards for its superior air and water performance, OTIIMA PLUS is a testament to the evolution of flushed frame aesthetics. The system’s flush head and sill track eliminate the need for recessed tracks, offering a seamless visual experience.

Beyond its aesthetic appeal, OTIIMA PLUS excels in air permeability and wind load resistance, ensuring stability and performance excellence. The system captures the essence of classic minimalism while introducing innovative features that set it apart. Instead of adhering to the 10mm (3/8″) recessed tracks required for its predecessor, OTIIMA PLUS introduces a flush design, elevating the overall architectural aesthetic.
