France has a quiet way of elevating design. A soft precision, a belief in craftsmanship, and an instinctive understanding that architecture should feel effortless.
In this French Edit, we highlight three OTIIMA projects along the Mediterranean—each a different expression of coastal luxury, shaped by the vision of remarkable architects.
These houses and hospitality spaces are not just built for the landscape. They are built with it.
Maybourne Riviera | Willmotte & Associés
Roquebrune-Cap-Martin
Suspended between sea and sky, the Maybourne Riviera sits along one of the most iconic cliffs of the Côte d’Azur.
Willmotte & Associés designed the hotel with a clear intention of erasing boundaries. The architecture relies on linearity, controlled use of materials, and subtle contrasts, allowing the Mediterranean horizon to become the main character.
OTIIMA’s minimal window systems are integrated like thin strokes of steel—almost invisible, but essential. Large sliding panes reveal the coastline in full scale, opening every room to natural light, breeze, and the vast calm of the sea.

Villa Soori | Laurence Barnathan & Cyril Montaudon
Mougins
In Villa Soori, architecture becomes intimacy. Laurence Barnathan and Cyril Montaudon designed a family retreat that prioritizes softness and well-being, while still embracing a bold contemporary character.
Here, OTIIMA frames are used as delicate thresholds. The glass dissolves into the stone and timber palette, creating a warm transparency that connects interior rooms with shaded patios and sunlit terraces.
The home breathes. It opens and contracts depending on the moment of the day.

Villa H2 | Vincent Coste Architecte
South Corsica
Perched above the Mediterranean, Villa H2 by Vincent Coste Architecte is geometry in motion. The design plays with volumes, sunlight, and topography, shaping a house that feels sculpted by the climate itself.
OTIIMA’s minimal systems enable the house’s defining gesture: expansive openings that follow the coastline and amplify the sense of altitude. The façade becomes a sequence of precise frames, each one capturing a different cut of sea, rock, and sky.
Inside, the architecture feels open, weightless, and intentional. Every transition is clean, and every line is controlled. The house is a performance-driven minimalism, with engineering and elegance.

Architecture and Landscape
Across these three projects, one idea remains constant: transparency is a design language.
The French Riviera may be known for its drama. Still, here, the luxury lies in what is not seen: the hidden engineering, the precision, and the effortless relationship between inside and outside.
This is French architecture at its best.
