Winter’s arrival often brings visions of coziness, comfort, and the soft glow of natural light filtering through our living spaces. At OTIIMA, we believe in the transformative power of minimalist windows to illuminate and elevate the winter experience.
Let’s explore how OTIIMA’s commitment to excellence in design merges seamlessly with the warmth of natural light, creating spaces that embody sophistication and comfort.
- Retreat Pringiers Pintelon: A Belgian Concrete Sanctuary
Glenn Sestig Architects crafted a contemporary concrete holiday home in the heart of Ostend, Belgium, the Retreat Pringiers Pintelon. This stunning sanctuary is a testament to the fusion of minimalist design and the serenity of natural light. Otiima minimalist windows play a crucial role, inviting the winter sun to dance across the sleek surfaces, infusing the space with warmth and tranquility.

- Dyson Global HQ: Innovating with OTIIMA
They were adapting an old industrial building into a hub of innovation, bringing forth the need for thoughtful design at Dyson Global HQ. Architects prioritised employee well-being, recognizing the importance of natural light. Otiima Plus minimalist windows, with their seamless integration and high-performance characteristics, became the beacon for achieving expansive views, thermal comfort, and a harmonious workspace.

Perhaps his most famous principle, “Less is more,” summarizes Mies’ approach to design: stripping away the unnecessary to reveal the essential. His buildings are characterized by clean lines, open floor plans, and an absence of ornamentation. This philosophy encourages architects to prioritize spatial clarity and material integrity, resulting in modern and enduring structures.

- Institut des Civilisations: A Lesson in Comfort and Aesthetics
The human and social sciences libraries of the Collège de France underwent a significant reconstruction, focusing on thermal comfort and aesthetics, giving space to the new Institut des Civilisations. OTIIMA frame systems replaced all windows, including 38 PLUS, 54 FUSION, 54 CLASSIC, and OPEN. The result? An environment that is not just comfortable thermally and acoustically but also flooded with the invigorating glow of natural light.
